The opening salvo of the Dark Ops mini-series is a tight, cockpit-claustrophobic short thriller (~7,000 words) that introduces the covert world running parallel to Dark Paradigm.

An ageing air marshal, long since benched in his own mind, realises the men boarding around him are carrying more than hand-luggage. What looks like a textbook hijack unravels fast: the terrorists are too practised, the timing too clean, and the intended target is not the one the passengers think.

Flight 313 is designed to be read in a single sitting and to leave you suspicious of the next airline safety briefing you hear. It sets the tone for Ghost 13 — the false-flag unit at the black heart of the Dark Ops series.
